Implementation

A calmer launch playbook for hotel technology

By HotelOnline editorial team1 min read

Define the change in plain language

Before configuration begins, make sure the hotel team can describe what is changing, why it matters, and what will be different in the daily workflow. This creates a shared starting point for the project.

Assign practical roles

Name the people who will make decisions, share operational knowledge, test the setup, and support colleagues after launch. Clear roles reduce the need to guess where a question should go.

Build training around real tasks

Training is more useful when it follows the moments people handle every day: arrivals, reservations, changes, reports, and guest questions. Give the team a chance to practise those tasks before the new workflow becomes routine.

Keep a short review window

The first weeks after launch are for learning. Create a simple place to collect questions, decide what needs attention, and communicate the next improvement.
