Revenue management

Build a commercial rhythm your team can actually sustain

By HotelOnline editorial team1 min read

A rhythm beats a rescue plan

Commercial work is easier to sustain when the team has a small, dependable cadence for looking at demand, availability, rates, and distribution. A routine does not remove judgment. It gives judgment a regular place to happen.

Choose a useful weekly view

Pick a short set of questions the team can answer together. What has changed in the booking pace? Which dates need attention? Which channel or offer needs a closer look? Keep the discussion close to actions the hotel can actually take.

Make decisions visible

Record the decision, why it was made, and when it should be reviewed. This helps a team learn from the result instead of relying on memory when the next busy period arrives.

Keep the routine realistic

A small review that happens every week is more valuable than an elaborate process that disappears during a busy month.
